Figure-of-8 CNC Coiling Machine

Using a unique servo controlled mechanical cam-action system we have created the figure “8” motion with flexibility and reliability. The motion can be programmed with a figure “0” (zero) motion too, such that any configuration of “8” & “0” is possible. With the 180 mm centre distance of the pins the machine can produce coils from 5 to 30 meters. These can be adjusted as per your specification, noting that due to the geometry and coil shape not all length combinations will yield the desired length.
A double de-coiler supplied with the machine accommodates two 3km reels of shock tube.
Operations are de-coiling, winding to program length, bunch taping, cut off, ultrasonic sealing and removal by belt conveyor out the back of the machine. The machine is fitted with a Fanuc CNC Touchscreen control and servo motors.

PRODUCTION RATE:
The machine has a speed of 1m/s winding rate plus 3 seconds per coil fixed time.
Examples:
5m coil is 5+3 = 8 seconds [25sec per coil pair*]
12m coil is 12+3 = 15 seconds [30sec per coil pair]
24m coil is 24+3 = 27 seconds [54sec per coil pair]
30m coil is 30+3 = 33 seconds [66sec per coil pair]
